Tonight felt like a good night to go for a run, so i did! Not only do i love having the temple view right outside my bedroom window, but even more i love being able to go for a run past the temple to see it all lit up at night. My favorite temple, and so close. I am going to enjoy every bit of it!

And this is Olivia, spent all summer with this little girl helping her learn to crawl and pushing her to walk. Now she's standing on her own and on her way to walking! Love living close to family!Friday, November 23, 2012

Last night i was visiting my aunt Lorna and hanging out with her kids and all hell seemed to break loose that night with some (more) family issues. After we had gotten home there were two sales girls riding up to the door. I went to take brownies to a friend and when i got back Lorna was still there talking to them, and after what all just happened i was glad because i knew that was just what she needed - to have some friends come over and make her smile. :) I went in and started talking with them too, they were two girls in the 20's selling children's learning books AND they were from a tiny country near Russia called Latvia. They started asking Lorna about her (LDS) mission in D.C. and she told them all about what she did there and why she was there and then began to talk about the Book of Mormon and asked it they would like to read it. We told they how to get one in Latvian if they wanted and handed them an english version. They had to ride their bikes in the dark on a busy road from smithfield to the outer edge of logan, which is a long ways away so we offered them a ride and after a little convincing they accepted. On the drive, one of the young ladies kept asking questions about the LDS Church and Lorna's mission. So being the amazing missionary she is, Lorna answered all they're questions and a little more. They were the cutest girls and so friendly, we made some good friends that night. On the drive back home i was talking to Lorna and we both didn't feel as angry anymore, still mad about the situation that had happened earlier, but more comforted and at peace. She said, "its because when i started talking about the Book of Mormon and the gospel, the spirit came into the room."
After all that i still just kept saying, i can't believe how perfect timing and situational that was for those girls to come over at that exact time, it was perfect timing and just what we both needed. To share the gospel with those two young Latvian girls (who by the way don't have brownies or chocolate chips in their country, thats just not right!) Im writing this more for myself, than anyone else, as a testimony builder. I want to remember the feelings of comfort from the spirit i felt and how there was no way i could deny that my Father in Heaven knew what i needed right then and how to give it to me. I am grateful for the spirit and grateful for my aunt and those girls who helped bring it that night. I hope they read the Book of Mormon and seek out the missionaries in Lotvia.

Last post for the day, i promise, and they are not in date order.
GRADUATION DAY! My best friend Elise Gordon and I graduated from a class of 400 seniors on June 18th 2012 from Eastlake High School. Ive know her for about 7 years and we became friends fast. She's going up to BYU Idaho this fall and ill be here at Utah State University. Can't wait to see where our different worlds take us and all the stories we'll get to share with one another!
Stephanie just got a letter from her "friend" Elder Johnson and Im not sure how this letter came about, but we decided it'd be funny if i wrote him a letter as another girl. But since he's on a mission serving the Lord, we'll just put it on my blog and let him have some fun reading it when he gets back. So Elder Johnson, here you go!
I think we had a little too much fun writing this and reading it over and over again. We were busting guts left and right that night.
Dear Elder Jacob Johnson,
My name is Katelyn Moore, I got your address from this girl down the street. She showed me some of your pictures and let me keep one for my bedside, is that weird? I found a picture of you and your family and I snuck it from the girl, shhh don’t tell her. She’s told me a lot about you and you seem like a really cool guy that I would like to get to know. Who knows, maybe well even date when you get back! A little about myself, my favorite thing to eat is dried fish with miracle whip, my favorite sport is wrestling, my hobbies are reading books and painting. What about you, tell me about yourself. Your super cute and I love that you also hate Taylor Swift, we must be sole mates. Enclosed is a picture of myself taken especially for you. Hope to hear back from you soon and feel free to send pictures along with it.
Sincerely,
Katelyn Moore
It was a super hot day, and i wanted to spend some time with my cousins. So i took Jake and Belle to Mack park for a few hours. We played on the playgrounds for a bit and in the sand, but none of that was quite as fun as when we went to the little river and just threw rocks in the water. It was a nice way to cool down and have some simple fun! Jake likes to show all the rocks he picks up and he gets the BIGGEST ones he could find (this is one of the smaller ones) Belle learned to skip rocks too. Afterward we went out for snow cones at the crazy lady snow cone shack - Tickers blood and blue raspberry.
